Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has warned Bayern Munich's Mario Gomez that he is chasing for the Bundesliga Golden Boot award.
The former Real Madrid and AC Milan front man is currently the joint-leading scorer in the German top flight with 18 goals, equal with Gomez, who won the award last season.
The 28-year-old could have overtaken the German striker last weekend against Wolfsburg had he not missed his spot-kick in the 4-0 rout, and the Dutchman was down on himself about the error.
"That was really frustrating. I really hit the penalty badly," he told Bild.
"Of course I want to score more than Gomez. I am delighted to be at the top of the scoring charts."
Huntelaar will go face to face with his rival on Sunday, when his side travels to the Allianz Arena to take on Jupp Heynckes' men.
"It would be great for the team if I were to score against Bayern, but they are at home so they are the favourites," he said.
The Bavarians enter Sunday's clash third in the table, just one point ahead of Schalke in fourth.
